Winter Retreats

Winter retreats at TVR are the perfect way to break away from the long school year. Every year we look to improve the quality our retreats by removing the many hurdles and strains of preparing a winter trip. We take care of everything from speaking to worship music, to programming, food, and lodging. We send a full time staff member to the slopes with every group to provide directions and assist in picking up ski rentals and purchasing the lift tickets. We will also provide a hot meal for your group at the slopes. We end each day of skiing with a warm snack before bed. In other words, bring your kids, one check, and do what you do best – minister to your kids. We’ll take care of the details. We offer everything for only $60 per person per night (lift tickets and rentals are not included in this price).

We hope to have great weather and skiing conditions this year, but either way, you'll have fun at TVR because we're much more than just a ski camp. We desire for every student and leader to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ during their stay at TVR.

We offer retreats anytime from December through the first weekend in March. Call us at 828.765.7860 or email Julie Capps to reserve your spot! Below are links to the ski and tubing resorts where you can find both group rates (a minimum of 15 lift tickets) and individual rates for lift tickets. If you have further questions regarding any ski or tubing details, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!

Sugar Mountain Resort - Banner Elk, NC - 45 minute drive from TVR

Beech Mountain Resort - Beech Mountain, NC - 45 minute drive from TVR

Jonas Ridge Snow Tubing - Jonas Ridge, NC - 30 minute drive from TVR

Hawksnest Tubing Resort - Seven Devils, NC - 45-50 minute drive from TVR

**Please note that a fee of $10 per person will be added to those groups who choose to Day Ski. TVR encourages all groups to ski twilight at the resort of their choice. Due to multiple groups staying at camp during one time, Day Ski limits the flexibility our staff. We also feel that students respond better in a late morning session rather than an evening session after a 6:00 am breakfast and full day of skiing.**
