2019 summer camp speakers


  • week one :: JOSH HAYES

    Josh is a graduate of Appalachian State and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as the College Pastor at Alliance Bible Fellowship in Boone, NC. Josh and his wife Carrie have five children - Ryan, Scott, Josie, Caleb, and Micah.  Josh enjoys hunting, golfing, fishing, and playing frisbee, and considers coffee a vital food group.  Josh loves teaching the Word of God and seeing people develop an appetite for Christ-centered teaching that leads to a transformed life. We are so excited to have him for the first time as a summer camp speaker!

  • week two :: Brady nemmers

    Brady Nemmers is a long-time faithful friend of TVR… We’ve lost count of how many times he has been a summer camp speaker! He is the Lead Teaching Pastor at Keystone Community Church in the Grand Rapids area, which he began co-leading in 2013. In addition to speaking at summer camp, Brady has lead numerous “Mission to the Mountain” trips to TVR from Michigan. He served as a youth pastor for many years and has an obvious gift in sharing the Word with students in such a way that is engaging and relevant to their lives. He is married to Sarah Anne and they have four wildly awesome boys!

  • week three :: ricky lee

    Ricky Lee is the Youth Pastor at Grace Community Church in Angier, North Carolina. He and his wife April met at TVR and served on staff for about a decade before the Lord led them to Grace. Ricky is one of the most relatable people you will ever meet, and his humble leadership and dynamic teaching truly open a door for him to be able to share the Word of God in a way that makes people want to listen. Ricky and April have five precious, full-of-life children.

  • week five :: ben price

    Ben Price is the Youth Pastor at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Banner Elk, NC. Previous to serving at Mt. Calvary, Ben was on staff at TVR for around a decade! Ben has an undeniable gift of connecting with youth and delivering Truth in a unique and impactful way. You can usually catch him either climbing something or on some form of ATV with his wife Liz and four adventurous children.

  • week six :: shaun cross

    Shaun Cross moved to Washington, D.C., in the spring of 2014 to plant a church after several years of youth ministry. Union Church is now in its 3rd year of serving the community of Northeast DC. Shaun has a way of genuinely and graciously challenging young people to live in light of the gospel every day of their lives. Shaun is married to Melissa, and they have three adorable children.

  • week seven :: MICHAEL TALLEY

    Michael Talley grew up as a “camp kid” at TVR for most of his life. After attending Appalachian State University in Boone, he served on staff at TVR for several years, where he married his wife Laura. In 2012 Michael began his ministry as the College Pastor at Alliance Bible Fellowship in Boone, where he now serves as Discipleship Pastor. He is a gifted communicator, who has a passion for teaching and bringing the Bible to life. Michael and Laura have three beautiful girls.

  • week eight :: william 'duce' branch

    Duce was raised by his father in New York City, where his passion for urban ministry began. Known for his career as the hip-hop artist, "The Ambassador," Duce has reached out to the hip-hop and urban community for over two decades. He is currently involved in leadership with Imago Dei Church in Raleigh, NC, and is pursuing a PhD through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he also serves as Assistant Professor of Preaching and Bible. Duce is married to Missie and they have five beautiful children.
