Our culture today often teaches us to make more and more of ourselves, and while there is definitely some value to that, the Bible paints a very different picture. I heard a great quote from a pastor years ago on the topic of selflessness. He said, “selflessness is not thinking less of yourself, but rather, thinking of yourself less.” Our theme this summer is DISAPPEAR and comes from John 3:30, which says, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Our hope this summer is that the more we make much of Christ, the more we “disappear” into Him. Come join us this summer as we strive to make more of Christ, and less of ourselves.
