September 27-29, 2024
Get time away from day-to-day life and re-connect with your spouse in the intimate setting of the mountains during the fall. The cost of $289 per couple includes a session each morning and evening, a picnic lunch on Saturday followed by an afternoon of activities on campus. Saturday evening we will host a candlelight dinner and conclude the evening with hayrides, coffee, live music, and a lot of laughter! Sunday morning will include one last session and a large brunch before couples depart for home.
If you're a newlywed, celebrating your 75th wedding anniversary, or anywhere in between, call us at 828.765.7860 or email Brianna Peterson to reserve your spot for this year’s marriage retreat. Please note that we have limited space for this event. Don't miss out!
Housing Note: TVR serves a wide variety of groups throughout the year (youth, ladies, families, etc). Because of this, the majority of our housing have bunks/twin-sized beds. Our five Cottages which also include a queen-sized bed have already been reserved for the 2024 retreat. Feel free to view other options on our "lodging" tab or reach out to our office with any questions!
2024 Retreat Guest Speaker: Josh Hayes
Originally from Durham, NC, Josh attended Appalachian State University where he met his wife Carrie. They married right out of college in 2005 and have served in ministry together ever since. Josh has served churches in a number of ministry roles including children’s, youth, college, and senior pastor ministry. His passion is to see people get excited about the Lord through mining the riches of His Word. Josh and Carrie have five kids, ages 16, 13, 10, 8, and 6. In their “free time,” they enjoy disc golf, reading classic children’s books aloud with their kids, pulling for the UNC Tar Heels, and feasting on Josh’s smoked meat masterpieces fresh off the smoker.
